Our guests this week will include author and historian James Lorence, professor emeritus at UW Marathon County, and Don Cline, president of the Marathon County Central Labor Council. Lorence will discuss the extensive research behind his books on the history of the labor movement and Cline will update us on the current challenges facing working people in North Central Wisconsin. The show will be an opportunity to explore the real reasons for Labor Day, which has become increasingly identified with backyard barbecues and shopping mall sales events.
