Route 51 Marks the 50th Anniversary of the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper Album

Thursday, June 1st at 10 a.m., Route 51 marks the 50^th anniversary of the groundbreaking album by the Beatles, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, which was released on June 1^st, 1967.

Glen Moberg will discuss the album’s lasting global impact on music and culture with Noah Fleisher, author of The Beatles: Fab Finds of the Fab Four; Paul Kennedy, Editorial Director of Krause Publications of Iola, which published Fleisher’s book; and UWSP History Professor Nancy Lopatin-Lummis who taught the course “The Band that Changed the World.” The show will also look at the skyrocketing value of Beatles memorabilia.
