On June 7 at 10 a.m. Wisconsin Public Radio’s Route 51 looks at the future of legalized hemp farming in Wisconsin. Host Glen Moberg will moderate a discussion with Senator Patrick Testin (R-Stevens Point), who spearheaded the push to legalize hemp in the Wisconsin state legislature; Larry Konopacki, general counsel for the Wisconsin Hemp Alliance ; and Ken Anderson, founder and CEO of Legacy Hemp, a hemp seed and marketing company based in Prescott, Wisconsin. Industrial hemp has a wide variety of uses ranging from food products and medicine to textiles, electronics and construction material. It was banned from cultivation in the U.S. because it is closely related to marijuana.
