This Thursday, October 15th at 10 am, Wisconsin Public Radio’s Route 51 features an in-studio appearance by acoustic guitar virtuoso Shaun Hopper, prior to his concert that evening at the Grand Theater in Wausau.
According to the St. Petersburg Times, “Shaun Hopper is a mesmerizing talent on the acoustic guitar, a fingerstyle enthusiast who can pluck out a symphony while sitting onstage. It is folksy at times, frenetic at others, with influences that range from blues to pop to traditional Celtic ballads.”
Host Glen Moberg will ask Hopper about his experiences growing up in backwoods Georgia, about the classical guitar influences that contributed to his unique style, and about his three-day residency in central Wisconsin, which will include workshops and master classes. Shaun Hopper will perform live on-air during the Route 51 program.
His appearance Thursday night at the Grand Theater is sponsored by Wisconsin Public Radio.
