This Thursday, May 29th, Wisconsin Public Radio’s Route 51 features our annual garden show, with advice for listeners who call in with questions about landscaping, tree and shrub care, and growing flowers and vegetables in our region’s inclement northern climate. Our guests are two master gardeners from Portage County: Nick Schulz, who writes the Perpetual Gardener column in the Portage County Gazette; and Lynn Caine, an orchard owner who serves on the Wisconsin Master Gardener Association Board, and who previously served as the summer horticulturist for Portage County UW-Extension. Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who assist University of Wisconsin Extension staff with horticulture education and community beautification.
