As COVID-19 continues to spread throughout the region, residents are finding themselves in uncharted territory, often with more questions than answers. Shereen Siewert welcomes Marathon County Health Department Public Information Officer Judy Burrows, Wausau pathologist Dr. Sarah Sewall, and Dr. Nasia Safdar, medical director of infection control at UW Hospitals and Clinics for a discussion on facts, myths and coping strategies during the public health crisis.

Burrows, Sewall and Safdar will answer common questions about COVID-19 and talk about the risks posed by the disease to the medical community and the local community. Listeners can email questions in advance to route51@wpr.org. This is the first of a three-part series of WPR’s regional COVID-19 response in our community. Next week “Route 51” will focus on the human side of the pandemic.
