Imagine walking the entire length of the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine… a distance of 2175 miles… at the age of 62. That’s what Wausau area writer George Sandul did… and he shares his amazing story this week on Route 51. Sandul will talk about the new book he wrote about his odyssey, “The Road to Damascus… and Beyond,” and will also share his life story, which took him from the upper Midwest to Antarctica as a mapmaker with the U.S. Geological Survey.
