This Thursday we look at the local impact of the earthquake in Haiti, from the efforts of volunteers in North Central Wisconsin involved in the recovery effort, to the concerns of Haitian born residents worried about their homeland. Guests will include Elise Lacossiere, a 25 year old Haitian student pursuing a degree in electromechanical engineering at North Central Technical College; Pastor Harvey Matson of Wausau’s Living Well Faith Community Church, who is working to rebuild an orphanage that was destroyed by the quake; and Carole Mahler, a volunteer with Wausau’s Highland Community Church, who was part of a team that treated earthquake victims in the hours following the disaster.
