Earlier this year, The Capuchin Province of St. Joseph announced that it would no longer be able to fund the St. Anthony Spirituality Center, the Marathon City-based religious retreat center, making many wonder if it would be forced to close its doors. Interested parties rallied to brainstorm on a solution. A newly formed nonprofit corporation, St. Anthony’s of Marathon, Inc., has purchased the property and will work with bishops, secular Franciscans, and persons trained in spirituality to maintain the Center’s Franciscan identity and to continue offering retreats and spiritual programs. This Thursday, December 12th at 10am, we’ll talk to Fr. Dan Crosby, current Director of the Spirituality Center and Barb Ceranski, Vice President of the new Board of Directors for St. Anthony’s of Marathon, Inc.
