Our guest will be Dr. Gordon Dammann, founder of the National Museum of Civil War Medicine and author of Images of Civil War Medicine: a Photographic History, and Pictorial Encyclopedia of Civil War Medical Instruments and Equipment.Dammann will be joined byWausau’s own resident expert on the Civil War, UW-Marathon County Associate Professor of History, Dr. Brett Barker. The programwill focus on the impact of the war on the evolution of medical technology in America.
