This week we mark the 30th Anniversary of a bizarre right wing terrorist plot involving an eccentric, but brilliant scientist from Wausau, Mike Muckerheide. Muckerheide helped the FBI crack a global espionage case involving laser beam weapons, a Wisconsin State Representative and the government of Guatemala.
Sharon Thatcher and retired FBI agent, Tom Burg wrote the book about this strange but true story, On the Laser’s Edge. Today’s show will be an encore presentation of the discussion with Sharon and Tom from back in 2006.
