Two Wisconsin police departments have recently decided to return military-grade vehicles on loan from the U.S. Department of Defense, and get smaller vehicles that are more appropriate for law enforcement and easier to maintain. We talk with a Wisconsin Public Radio News reporter to get the latest details. We then turn to a look at the state of police militarization in the U.S. with a police and criminal justice scholar.
