A referendum on this November’s ballot would send nearly 195 million dollars to La Crosse schools. In very broad strokes, the plan is to combine the city’s high schools into one new school on the south side and move middle school students into the existing high school facilities. Today on Newsmakers, we’re hearing from both sides. First, the district superintendent and Board president join us to lay out how the new plan would work. Then, a Northside business owner and Logan High graduate talks about what it would mean for her alma mater to close.
