One in six Wisconsin residents is 65 or older; 25 years from now that’s expected to grow to one in four. Not surprisingly, this growing segment of our population is creating new challenges for families, communities, and the organizations that support the needs of our seniors.

Newsmakers has spent the past year exploring challenges and issues related to our fast growing aging population. In this final installment of our monthly series, we revisit a variety of issues identified in previous shows addressed by regional experts and guests, including health care workers, representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations, caregivers, family members, and senior citizens sharing their own perspectives and personal stories.
