This week on Newsmakers we’re learning about the work and legacy of Ho-Chunk sculptor and educator Truman T. Lowe. On Monday the fine arts center at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse will be dedicated in Lowe’s honor and renamed the Truman T. Lowe Center for the Arts. Ezra Wall talks with Dr. Jo Ortel, an art historian and colleague of Truman Lowe.
Then our attention turns to the race for the 91st State Assembly District, where the incumbent, Republican Treig Pronschinske faces Democrat Maria Bamonti on Tuesday, November 8th. We’ll hear from Bamonti. We invited Pronschinske to schedule an interview with WPR. His campaign did not schedule an interview.
