Whether its a lack of educational opportunities or diminished economic prospects, black men in American society often face numerous disadvantages. Some even view black men with an air of suspicion and even fear. But all too often, says our guest this hour, society asks black men to “fix” these problems themselves, and puts the onus on them to improve their condition. Our guest says we must shift that narrative, if we want to improve the lives of black men, and it starts with painting a more complete picture of these men, and gaining a better understanding of their experiences.
