Empathy can be a powerful force in our lives, and the ability to “feel” what someone else is feeling can be beneficial to us in many ways. But when we step back and look at empathy as a whole, questions begin to emerge. Is empathy just a good moral value? Or, is it a skill that taught, built upon, and even commodified? And if so…what are the implications of that? This hour, we take a deep dive into the world of empathy, how its being used and possibly misused in our society, and how we can unlock the potential of empathic thinking in our daily lives.
