The Behavioral Science Behind The Fake News Awards

Air Date:
Heard On The Morning Show

President Trump’s Fake News Awards finally happened last night at 8pm after skepticism that they would ever take place because of continuously changing deadlines and no clear information about when or where they would happen. The winners were CNN, the New York Times, ABC, the Washington Post, Time and Newsweek. Comedians made fun of the concept of the Fake News Awards, but a behavioral scientist says it’s no laughing matter: it can seriously affect the way people perceive the news media.
