Norman talks to two members of RAPA (Russian and American Performing Artists concert association) – pianists Vladislava Henderson and Ludmila Syabrenko. They will be performing in Morphy Hall on the Madison campus on January 11th, 2015 as part of a UW School of Music recital.
This piano duet was formed in the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Far East of Russia where they originally played concert series’ as soloists of the Kamchatka State Philharmonic. Henderson now lives in Madison and both musicians perform and teach extensively. The RAPA association is now four years old.
In addition, Vladislava’s son, twelve year old Sasha, plays violin with the duet and UW Whitewater music professor and pianist Alena Holmes plays two pieces.
