​Norman welcomes harpist Maya Pierick to the WPR studios. She was a finalist in the 2015 Bolz Young Artist Competition in Madison. She’s a senior at Madison West High School and will be attending UW-Madison majoring in music and science. While she started early in Suzuki violin, she began playing harp at age eight with Karen Atz and currently studies with Danis Kelly of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Pierick plays Bach’s Largo transcribed by Grandjany, Handel’s Passacaglia, Corelli’s Jig, Tournier’s Preludes, Salzedo’s Chanson and Tournier’s Féerie.
