Madison area guitarist Miles McConnell visits the WPR studios. He talks about his personal history with the guitar and performs several pieces including: an operatic fantasy on themes from Verdi’s La Traviata; three Catalan folk songs by Miguel Llobet (1878-1938); La Rose, Op. 46 No. 9 by Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829); Clyde Suite by Ron Moore (1923-2009); Valses Venezolanos by Antonio Lauro (1917-1986) and finally Sakura (Trad Japanese arranged by Yuquijiro Yocoh.
