The Midday welcomes violinist David Cao to the WPR performance studio. David was a finalist in the 2014 Bolz Young Artist Competition. He is concertmaster of the Youth Orchestra, the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra’s top ensemble.
Cao plays the first two movements from Handel’s Sonata No. 1 in A , excerpts from the Violin Concerto in D minor by Sibelius, Bach’s Partita for Violin No. 2 in D minor, and the third movement from the Violin Concerto No. 1 by Max Bruch. He ends the hour with Fritz Kreisler’s Liebesleid.
