This Thursday, March 19th at 10 am, Wisconsin Public Radio’s Route 51 focuses on a choice facing Wausau citizens in the April 7th election: Should Wausau continue to have a government led by a strong mayor, or should it change to a government led by a full-time city administrator who reports to the city council and a part-time mayor?
Host Glen Moberg will discuss the nonbinding referendum with former Wausau Mayor Linda Lawrence, an advocate of the strong mayor form of government; Wausau Alderman Keene Winters, an advocate of the city administrator form of government; and UW Stevens Point Professor of Political Science Ed Miller, co-director of the Center for the Small City.
