Top Democrats are blasting President Donald Trump’s demands in connection with a potential deal to help undocumented children who were brought into the United States illegally as children, or Dreamers. Our guest looks at Trump’s renewed calls for a border wall, an end to “sanctuary cities” and other items, as well as how the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program works.

In a statement, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said the Trump administration “can’t be serious” about compromise or helping the Dreamers. They added that Trump’s list goes “so far beyond what is reasonable.”

Among the White House recommendations to Congress include a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. Last month, Trump, Pelosi and Schumer discussed the rough outline of a deal that included Trump’s willingness to take funding for the wall off the table as part of a DACA solution, though Trump later said that the wall “will happen.”

What do you think of President Trump’s list of demands for the DACA deal? How badly do you want a wall along the border with Mexico, an end to “sanctuary cities” or faster deportations?
