What, exactly, is misogyny, and how does it differ from sexism? That’s a question we explore this hour with a moral philosopher who defines misogyny not as deep hatred by men towards women and girls but rather as social systems where women face hostility because they’re a woman in a man’s world.
We also explore the role of misogyny in our social systems, consider the power of the #MeToo Movement, and look at what would need to change in order to address the problem.
Listeners, let us know - how has misogyny affected your life? How do you think it affects our society and our culture? What would you do to change this? Have you behaved in a misogynistic manner? What did you do to stop behaving that way in the future? Do you think misogyny isn't a big deal anymore? Why?
