In 2017, fact-checking was a mainstay of political journalism. Some of the biggest stories of the year involved reporters calling out politicians. But it hasn’t always been that way. We talk to Alexios Mantzarlis and Daniel Funke, both reporters at Poynter, and Angie Holan, editor of PolitiFact, about fact-checking last year and in years to come.
