While the dairy state may be known for its award-winning cheese and craft beer, its pastry credentials for kringle are pretty high profile as well. This flaky, tender Danish that’s often stuffed with a fruit or nut filling became the official state pastry in 2013. However, its history dates back nearly two centuries.
