Racine Program Works To Reduce Infant Mortality And Racial Gap That Exists
Wisconsin has some of the worst infant mortality racial disparities in the nation. And this racial gap continues to puzzle Wisconsin researchers. An African-American infant is three times more likely to die in the first year of life than a white infant. The founders of the Greater Racine Collaborative for Healthy Birth Outcomes explain how their programs are trying to turn this around in Racine.
