Savory Cinnamon Chilled Shrimp

  • 2 Tbs Olive oil
  • 1 Tbs Chili powder
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon, ground
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg, grated
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • 2 Lbs Jumbo shrimp, uncooked, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tsp Kosher salt

Combine oil, chili powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and pepper in a medium bowl. Add shrimp and mix to coat. Marinate 10 minutes. Heat large skillet over high heat. Add half the shrimp and marinade. Sauté until just cooked, 3 minutes. (Marinade will brown shrimp.)

Spread out on plate and sprinkle half the kosher salt on top. Allow to cool. Repeat with remaining shrimp and marinade. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. Serve cool*. (Servings: 6)
