Attorney representation for poor people in civil cases

A group of lawyers is asking the state Supreme Court to require judges to appoint attorneys to represent poor people in civil cases.Opponents of the new rule say county governments can’t afford to pay the laywers unless the state gives them the money. Gilman Halsted has more.
