Renters Near Foxconn Site Being Evicted To Make Way For Land Purchase
Four families living near the future site of the Foxconn manufacturing plant in Mount Pleasant were recently served eviction notices by their landlord in order for the technology company to purchase the property. Although the renters were originally told to move out within 28 days, Foxconn pushed the deadline back to 90 days after an inquiry from the press. We talk to a journalist about the situation and where residents will go from here.
