Democratic state Sen. Kathleen Vinehout is holding a pot luck dinner to announce whether she’s running for governor or for re-election.

Vinehout announced Monday on Facebook that she will make a “special announcement” in Black River Falls on Sept. 25 to speak about the next election and her vision. She does not say in the posting whether she will get into the increasingly crowded Democratic field or run for a fourth Senate term.

Vinehout did not immediately return a text message seeking comment.

Republican Gov. Scott Walker is expected to seek a third term.
