U.S. Rep Gwen Moore addressed the full Democratic National Convention on Thursday in Philadelphia. She’s there as a Hillary Clinton superdelegate, while her son is a delegate for Bernie Sanders.
Moore told reporters she and her son have talked about this election at home.
“My constant refrain to him is that you have a tremendous responsibility as a strident Bernie supporter to make sure that millennials and others who were Bernie supporters come into the fold and really do the work that’s necessary to win this election in November,” she said.

Moore’s son, Supreme Moore Omokunde, said he tried to convince his mom to support Sanders.
“I push back as much as I can, and she pushes back, too,” he said. “But at the end, she has her own perspective, her own opinion, and so do I.”
Moore and her son were both on the floor of the DNC this Tuesday when the Wisconsin delegation cast its votes and the full convention nominated Hillary Clinton.
