Tracey Scherr

Tracey Scherr, Ph. D., joined the faculty of UW-Whitewater in 2004 after practicing school psychology in northwestern Illinois. She had been a county social worker for adolescents and their families prior. Dr. Scherr’s research and scholarly interests include meeting the educational and mental health needs of marginalized students, especially students living in foster care, students who are immigrants or refugees, and students who are LGBTQ. She researches the pedagogical method of Critical Incident Reporting and is active in the international school psychology community. Dr. Scherr teaches school psychology coursework in both academic and intellectual assessment and she supervises practicum students and interns.
