Tracey Roberts is a senior lecturer emeritus of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville History Department who is affiliated with the Mining and Rollo Jamison Museums in Platteville. She’s an independent historian, speaker and author who’s been studying the pre-Civil War Lead Mining District in Wisconsin and Illinois for more than twenty years.
