Scott Johnson

Scott Johnson is the founder and director of the Low Technology Institute, located 25 min south of Madison in the historic village of Cooksville. He and his organization have been interested in how we can revive and adapt preindustrial knowledge for use today and when fossil fuels are no longer prevalent, which is why he’s been interested in bees for over five years. He holds a Ph.D. in anthropology but is interested in a wide range of topics, from agriculture and food to energy and traditional construction methods.
