Rachel Gross is a science journalist based in Brooklyn. She released her first book “Vagina Obscura: An Anatomical Voyage” this year. She previously was the digital science editor for Smithsonian Magazine.
She specializes in reproductive biology, gender and history of science. She has participated in two special series that uncover the stories of women scientists who were written out of history.
Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, National Geographic, WIRED, New Scientist, Slate, Undark, and NPR.
