Professor Val Klump

Professor Val KlumpProfessor and Associate Dean of Research in the School of Freshwater Sciences. Among his many fields of study is the Biogeochemical cycling in aquatic environments and his research has taken him to the deepest point in Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. As a scientist, he has participated in a number of research cruises equaling a total of over 500 days at sea. And over the past decade with the Great Lakes WATER Institute, has built a fantastic reputation for the organization, which now serves as the research arm of UWM’s School of Freshwater Sciences.
