Peter Esselmann is a research fishery biologist with the U.S. Geological Survey based out of the USGS Great Lakes Science Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is the primary investigator for a three-year study of fish populations and distribution in the Great Lakes using unmanned sailing vessels and autonomous underwater vehicles.
