As the co-founder of PRETTYBIRD, he is one of the first directors to create a company built to support and foster underrepresented voices. Hunter’s efforts and mentorship have helped launch the careers of acclaimed directors such as Melina Matsoukas, Calmatic and the Daniels. One of the industry’s preeminent music video directors, Hunter has created some of the most iconic work for legendary artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, U2, Justin Timberlake, Eminem, Will Smith, Lenny Kravitz and Jennifer Lopez.
Through his innovative vision and collaborative approach to every project, he’s earned repeated commissions to create global campaigns for some of the world’s biggest brands. He has directed award-winning spots for Sony, Adidas, Apple, Audi, Palms Casino, Beats and Microsoft, among others. Hunter’s T-Mobile spot, featuring Kim Kardashian, aired during Super Bowl XLIX and was rated among the top ads of the game. He earned a Gold Cannes Lion for his landmark Nike “Stickman” campaign, multiple CLIO Awards for his Beats by Dre campaign, among others. His campaign for the LA Rams draft titled “On the Clock” earned six wins at the CLIO Sports Awards, among many other wins throughout the 2022 awards season.
