Mike Smith is the executive director of Veterans for Responsible Leadership. He served as an officer in the United States Navy for more than 12 years, primarily as a FA-18 pilot with three deployments to the western Pacific. He’s the founder of RenewWest, a startup working to mitigate climate change through reforestation of landscapes in the American West.
