Michael Mann is the presidential distinguished professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, he was the director of the Earth System Science Center at Penn State University. He has written six books, including “Our Fragile Moment: How Lessons from Earth’s Past Can Help Us Survive the Climate Crisis,” which was published by Public Affairs in September 2023.
