Mai See Thao is an assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology and Asian American Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Previously, she was the director of the Hmong Studies program and an assistant professor in anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She is a medical anthropologist who studies diabetes, chronic disease management, chronic care, and immigrant/refugee communities.
