Laurel Miller

Laurel Miller is the director of international crisis group’s Asia program. She leads the organization’s research, analysis, and policy advocacy about and in the region. Miller joined Crisis Group in January 2019. Prior to this position, she was the senior political scientist at RAND Corporation. Prior to that she was the acting special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan at the U.S. Department of State and prior to that principal deputy special representative. Miller has been an adjunct professor at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown.
