Kyle Hausmann-Stokes is the director and co-writer of “My Dead Friend Zoe,” his first feature-length film, which opened in theaters in late February 2025. Hausmann-Stokes is a U.S. Army veteran who served in Iraq, for which he was awarded the Bronze Star for his service as a convoy commander. Kyle is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts and is co-founder of the nonprofit organization Veterans in Media & Entertainment. He was born and raised in Madison and graduated from Verona Area High School in 2001.
