Kathryn studies the social impact of technology, focusing on the changing role of public libraries in Americans’ lives and communities in the era of digital content. She has also published reports on topics ranging from location-based mobile services to broadband adoption.
Zickuhr is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where she studied History and Slavic Languages & Literatures. She is the lead author of reports on libraries and e-books, younger Americans’ reading and library habits, and disparities in technology access and use.
