Jon Shelton is professor and chair of democracy and justice studies at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, where he studies unions, labor, and education. He’s the author of Teacher Strike! Public Education and the Making of a New American Political Order and The Education Myth: How Human Capital Trumped Social Democracy. He also serves as vice president of higher education for the American Federation of Teachers-Wisconsin.
