John Eason is an associate professor of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an equity scholar at the Urban Institute. He’s the author of Big House on the Prairie: Rise of the Rural Ghetto and Prison Proliferation. Eason founded and directs the UW Justice Lab.
