Jesús Salas

Jesús Salas is a labor activist and historian. He is the author of the memoir “Obreros Unidos: The Roots and Legacy of the Farmworkers Movement.” Salas is an activist who led the historic march of Mexican migrants from Wautoma to Madison in 1966, as part of organizing for Wisconsin’s first farmworker union. Salas was later a lecturer at UW-Madison and UW-Milwaukee, an appointee to the UW System Board of Regents and the first Latino CEO of United Migrant Opportunity Services.
