Jerome Buting is a Wisconsin criminal defense lawyer who has practiced in the state of Wisconsin for more than 35 years. He is among the plaintiffs who are challenging Marsy’s law. Jerome Buting was a founding member of the law firm Buting, Williams & Stilling, S.C. He was the co-defense attorney of in the State v. Steven Avery murder trial in 2007. Jerome Buting wrote the book, “Illusion of Justice: Inside Making a Murderer and America’s Broken System.”
